Gary,
Thanks for correcting those birthdate errors for my mother. How do you manage to do all that you do??? What you’re doing must require more time than a full time job! I read every word of every e-mail. I may not know each individual but I know the family from which they came. I love the information from long ago and also the current Info–including the current newspaper articles of who did what and when. It’s almost as good as being there. If you and your wife ever get to the St. George, Utah area, give us a call–we have two spare bedrooms. In a few days the Huntsman World Senior Games begin here–there will be senior citizens from all over the world competing in everything from chess to 26 mile marathons. Ron and I just watch!! We did drive our old cars (1929 Ford Phaeton and 1929 Ford Cloth top pickup) in a parade a couple weeks ago. I’m happy to report I didn’t kill the engine as I shifted going up and down hills, I didn’t grind the gears too much as I shifted–so all in all it was a successful trip.
Once again, thanks for making life more enjoyable for “us old folks”.

Shirley, It gives me great pleasure to be able to do what I’m doing. It does take a fare amount of time, but I always drop whatever I’m doing if Bernadette wants to go do something. We make lots of trips to the Malls. They have several beautiful malls in Cebu City. For exercise, I’ll walk the malls while she browses the shops. In retirement one has to have something to do and this is such a rewarding thing to do, plus it keeps me connected to the states. One of the benefits of retiring to a 3rd world country is the luxury of having inexpensive help. That makes for a whole lot of extra free time too. This evening we are going out for dinner with our UK friends. We have learned to understand their English accent pretty well. Thank you so much your for hospitality offer. We will for sure take you up on that offer if we are ever in your area. Like wise you and everyone else on this distribution list are welcome to visit us here in the Philippines. We have accommodations for you and everyone to stay as long as you wish. We love having company. Gary

Hi Gary, For those of us who did not make it to the class reunion, could you post a couple pictures each day of different people from different classes? I for one would find it fun and very interesting.Like maybe you could ask people from each class to send you a couple pictures each. Thanks Gary….Aggie
Aggie, I can certainly post some of those pictures each day. I have more class of 65 than others, but folks have sent me a lot of other 2007 reunion pictures too. I lost all of my pictures when my hard drive got reformatted several weeks back. I was only able to recover about a third of what I had. These pictures were all buried in the messages I sent too. Unfortunately I lost all messages that I sent prior to December of 2007 that contained many of these pictures. Many of you sent me pictures following the 2007 reunion that I have lost. Can you please send them to me again?
Folks, please share any pictures that you have from any point in time. Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary– Hey, I’m getting the blog again. I was receiving it for about a month. Hope all is
well with you and your family.
Toni
Folks, With the bulk of mail I send combined with these messages being sent from the Philippines, many of your email providers suspect these messages as being spam and do not let them go through. I do not get a message letting me know they have not been delivered either. I use several different email addresses, each day, for the 7 lists I have for you folks that I send these message out to. I recently started rotating the email address’ I use for sending this daily message. If you have not been getting these messages and all of a sudden you get one please let me know, so I can change your distribution to a different email address for sending. Gary

Gary,
The picture is of my family taken out here last summer. My wife, Mary Lou and I are sitting in front, then starting from the left is my youngest, Laurel who graduated from U. of ND a few years ago, went to work for Wells Fargo in Mpls as a mortgage consultant but quit after a couple of years because instead of trying to fit a mortgage to people’s needs and capabilities she was forever being pressured to saddle them with as big a mortgage as she could. No matter that any bump in the road would cause major problems…..Wells Fargo was going to sell the mortgage to another bank anyway. She is now just finishing up a degree in education from the U. of Mary. Next is my oldest, Pamela, married w/ three kids and one granddaughter. She lives in Bismarck where her husband works for Fireside Office Equipment. Next, is my daughter Stacy who also lives in Bismarck where her husband is a banker. She has three sons and one grandson. Next is Mark who is the elementary principal and girl’s basketball coach at Stanley. He has two daughters, the oldest just graduated from Minot State this spring. To the far right is Rob who is a plumber in Mandan. He is divorced with one daughter and two grandkids.
We are really lucky that all of our kids are fairly close so we can all get together once in awhile. This is probabaly more info than you wanted to know but I am kinda proud of my family.

Thank you to everyone who helped me identify the Catholic Daughters of America. I had no idea that there was a chapter of these mighty women in Rolette County. I searched the census records for the Morinville/Peat families several years ago for a friend from Lodi, CA, so rather amazing to have identity of Eva Dion Peat. Frances Morinville appears just as I remember her in the CDOA photo; we should all age so beautifully.
Joe Morinville. Just brushing shoulders with the man made one feel stronger. Joe lead the rosary with great feeling at Dale’s bier those many years ago. Very comforting from such a solid man and friend. The other gentleman I remember from ’61 is Emil Morin. He and his wife sat at mom’s side for over an hour. No words. They had lost their son that summer. Joe Morinville’s picture worth a thousand words.
I have been browsing in pages of old Turtle Mountain Star issues and always take time for Tarsus news. Several items about the Morinville Hatchery. Also a golden nugget for the Morinville family, the nuptials of Joe and Frances.
Enjoy!
