Happy 90th Birthday Art Rude
Folks,As you are getting this, today is Art Rude’s birthday. If you have time, please stop by the Dunseith nursing home and wish him happy Birthday.

Dad turns 90 tomorrow (May 1st), and I have to work in Watford City when he makes the big turn. So, I’d like to invite people who are still in the Dunseith area to stop by the Nursing Home and say hi. Wayne is going to deliver a cake, so if you stop by and have a piece of cake and say happy birthday in person I’m sure he will appreciate it. He may not remember your name at first, and that is quite embarrassing to him, as Dad basically never forgot a name but he would love it if you stopped to talk to him any way.
I’ll attach a couple of pictures. The first one is a picture of Dad as a teen with his brother Gilbert Otis (He went by G.O. Rude), and his Mother, Hannah Rude. The second one is a picture of Dad as a teacher, as most people probably remember him, and I believe it is the year he retired from teaching.

LARRY A. (Weasel) BERGAN
Larry A. (Weasel) Bergan, age 63 of Dunseith, died Sunday in his home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Dunseith. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery of rural Dunseith. A wake will be held on Thursday, beginning at 4:30 P.M., with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. in the church.
Larry (Weasel) Bergan, a son of Clayton and Alice (Laverdure) Bergan, was born in Belcourt on October 28, 1949.
He is survived by a daughter, Melanie (David) Martin of Dunseith; sons, Curtis (Malissa) Bergan of Fairbanks, AK and Devin (Tricia) Bergan of Temple, TX; 10 grandchildren; brothers, David Bergan of Dunseith; sisters, Judy Leonard of Dunseith, Janet Evans of Monticello, MN and Carol Harris of Torrance, CA.

re: Roberta Hagen Striker birthday and picture. Her husband is Deane K Striker who works construction and raises cattle in Dunseith area. His parents are Douglas and Marlene Ann Espe. Marlene is a d/o Arthur & Effie M (House) Espe. I met cousins Marlene and her children Deane and Donna at our 2009 Striker Reunion at Berne, Indiana.

Hi Gary,
I am almost positive that #8 in the picture is my beloved Aunt Cora Boucher Mongeon. I just don’t know why she would be in this picture if it is a church picture from Rendahl. I think she only attended Catholic in Thorne and Dunseith.
