Folks, I screwed the numbering up with yesterday’s message. It should have been 782, not 781, so there are now two 781’s. I’m continuing on with 782 today though.
Today is our bowling day. With that and having to run a few errands before going, I’m making this kind of short today. Gary
Wendal Cushing (Retired Forestry Teacher) plans to attend the reunion:
Folks,
Wendal Cushing got in touch with me expressing a desire to attend our reunion. I told him he is very much welcome. I know many of you will remember Mr. Cushing from the Forestry. He was a science teacher there for many years. I took a Chemistry class from him when I attended there in 1966. Wendal’s mother is a Fassett, sister to Kathleen Fassett Grimme. Wendal is a first cousin to Bill and Gwen Grimme. He was born and raised on a farm between Dunseith and Bottineau. Wendal lives one block from my brother Darrel (Bud) and Debby in Bottineau. With my walks of the neighborhood when I’m there, I’ll often times see Wendal out working in his yard. With one of my walks in 2007, Wendal invited me to sit down and have a chat, in his yard, as I was passing.
Gwen Grimme Eltz was a teacher at the Forestry (NDSU & MSU Bottineau) for many years too. She is currently teaching computer application and other classes at a college in Spokane.
Wendal would love to see any old albums, etc, that any of you may have.

Pictures of Dunseith Superintendents:
Request from Verena Gillis: Dunseith, ND.
Gary,
Is there any way you can get me pictures of all superintendents that have
been at DHS? I have Mr. Jerstad’s but without having to take the wall pics
down I thought maybe you can help me here. I plan on doing some things
with the pictures on the walls at the Bingo Barn.

Folks, Can you help us out with any pictures you may have? Thanks, Gary
I have these two pictures that Phyllis Jerstad provided. When I get a chance I’ll see if I can crop a decent picture of Mr. Jerstad from our class of 65 matrix.
