From Rhonda Hiatt (’75): Battle Ground, WA
My Condolences to the Peterson, Fugere, Casavant, Mellmer, and Lagerquist families for their loved ones recent passing. Whether young or old, it is so sad to see.
Our family spent alot of time with the Mellmers when they lived in Dunseith and many good memories came flooding back when I heard about Vi. With all of these people, Heaven is truly getting some special angels.

Duane Fugere
Reply from Bill Hosmer (’48): Tucson, AZ
Gary, It was wonderful to see Duane Fugere and his clan in the 2012 picture. I enjoyed his companionship on the Dunseith Golf Course for about 25 years while I was reveling in living in the
North Dakota summers at Lake Metigoshe. I’m sure the clan that the Fugeres made possible will continue to benefit our state and country because of the high standards of citizenship and community loyalty they exemplified. I was in ND this year a short time to visit and see the friends and relatives at the lake. I sold my property and will miss my marvelous summers in the “Hills of Home”. So it is. I hope Donna and the beautiful array of offspring remind my friend Duane how much I enjoyed the laughs, bad golf shots I made, and friendship he gave me all those remarkable years. Thanks you, Gary, and Thank you, Duane. Bill Hosmer
