Don Wenstad (’66)

In response to Pam Wenstad Pipitone.  Please share with Don that our thoughts and prayers are with him.  The last time I saw him was at my sister Florence’s house about 15 years ago.  He was also one of my closest class mates in high school.  Since I have a few heart problems of my own, I can kind of identify with what he may be feeling.  Indeed, I’ve had more than my share of medical issues the last few years, but nothing makes one feel so helpless as when it involves the heart.  I pray the surgery goes well and he is soon up and around again.

HI Gary-  thanks for your good work and time- I was wondering where Don is having his surgery and the address of the hospital-  He was a good friend to me at San Haven-  he ran the lab and we were just down the hall in the business office.–  regards-Lola

Hi Everyone,
Just to let you all know that Donnie came through the surgery fine. He had a double by pass. They took a vain out of his leg. Surgery took less time than they thought. He is still on the breathing  tube because he stops breathing when he falls to sleep. I hope this will pass. Thank You All for your preyers and please keep preying for a full recovery.

Gary,  This is our daughter, Dana, with our first grandchild, Elizabeth,
born Sep 19, 2012.  Elizabeth arrived by “C” Section at 9:42 AM, was 21
inches, and hit the scales at 10 lbs 14 Oz.  She has since lost about a
pound but is doing good.  Dana and Elizabeth were discharged from the
hospital Saturday afternoon, Sep 22nd.

Joke of the Day
From my good Cebu Friend Michael Kenny

‘Bless me Father, for I have sinned.
I have been with a loose girl.’
Â
The priest asks, ‘Is that you, little Joey Pagano?’

‘Yes, Father, it is.’
Â
‘And who was the girl you were with?’
!
‘I can’t tell you, Father, I don’t want to ruin her reputation.’Â

‘Well, Joey, I’m sure to find out her name sooner or later so you
May as well tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?’

‘I cannot say.’
Â
‘Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?’
Â
‘I’ll never tell.’
Â
‘Was it Nina Capelli?’
Â
! ‘I’m sorry, but I cannot name her.’
Â
‘Was it Cathy Piriano?’
Â
‘My lips are sealed.’

‘Was it Rosa DiAngelo, then?’

‘Please, Father, I cannot tell you.’

The priest sighs in frustration. ‘You’re very tight lipped,
And I admire that.  But you’ve sinned and have to
Atone. You cannot be an altar boy now
For 4 months. Now you go and
Behave yourself.’
Â
Joey walks back to his pew, and his friend Franco slides over and
Whispers, ‘What’d you get?’
Â
‘Four months vacation and five good leads…’
